Carrot Biscuit

Here is another of our Corgi puppy's homemade treats.

They look orangish as they have grated carrot and they are very crunchy. Once we took these biscuits to his puppy class as we did not have any treats, his teacher told us "Is he having his Sunday lunch?!" :) It takes him quite a long time to finish these biscuits!

Flour 150g
Carrot 1/2
Milk

1) Grate the carrot.

2) In a large bowl, mix the flour and the grated carrot with some milk.

3) Leave the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C (320 degrees F).

4) On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough.
Cut into desired shapes using biscuit cutters.
Transfer biscuits to prepared baking sheet.

5) Bake for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven,
    until the edges are golden.
    Cool on wire racks.

Carrot provides valuable vitamins, minerals and trace elements that contribute to a well balanced diet. Its high carotene content is an essential precursor to vitamin A. Our Cadwaladr loves to eat fresh carrots, too.

  2. Oh those are cute! I see a lot of home made dog treat recipes using sweet potatos, but don't think I've seen any carrot ones yet.
