Corn Du

It's April, but the air is still chilly. We are having good weather the past few days, and it was a very sunny day today with a blue sky. Since it was a good weather we went hiking with Cadwaladr to Corn Du in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Our little puppy is a born hiker, and he loves exploring the world! There was no snow in the foothills; however, the trail was covered with snow and we could see big icicles there.

We met quite many friendly dogs on the way and all of them were without a lead. Cadwaladr is still training, so he was the only one with his lead. Since it was a snow trail, it was quite a tough course going up, but he looked so happy walking up the snow covered trail! We could see he was enjoying his hiking from his wagging tail. On the way, some hikers said to us 'It must be a tough course for him, you must carry him!'. We thought so, too. But Cadwaladr was tough enough to make his own way, so sometimes he pulled us going up! Lol!

When we reached the top of Corn Du, he had some apples and we had tea and digestive biscuits.
Having tea as we see spectacular scenery is the best thing to do!

As we were going down there was less snow and more mud on the trail. Cadwalade had become VERY dirty: his short legs and his belly...everywhere!
We enjoyed hiking to Corn Du a lot!!!!

When we came home, what was waiting for him was BATH TIME! He loves hiking, but it always comes with bath time which he does not like so much.
And now, here he is after 5 hours of hiking, very exhausted. Sleeping like an angel.

Honey Nuts Roast Salad

Honey nuts roast salad is my family's favourite, so I often cook this salad. I especially love the honey roasted nut topping. It is very easy to cook, but it makes the salad more delicious. I always cool them in the freezer after roasting, so they can be easily broken into pieces. When I cook this salad it becomes the main dish for dinner. It tastes so good, and we can have lots of vegetables. Today I have used salad spinach, rocket, lettuce, yellow pepper and carrot. Since it was Easter last week, I think we ate too much. I wonder how many chocolates we had last week. We must cut down on sugar to stay healthy. And now we are trying to eat healthy this week. But chocolates and biscuits are too tempting to resist them. And now I am trying to study baking, but I also want to stay healthy. I know it sounds very paradoxical.

The Planet Chewy

Our Cadwaladr chews everything. Everything! His bed, our Crocs, the carpet, the telephone line and the coffee table. Seriously, he chews everything he sees. I would have no wonder if someone told me he was from the Planet Chewy. For prevention, we try to hide everything we can and we try to clear everything in his room; however, the Chewy genius still chews. He noticed there was nothing to chew, but he found the pipe of the radiator. We give him chewy toys, but he loves chewing the things that we don't want him to chew. So we searched what we could do for him. It said that bitter apple spray works for this problem, so we ordered it. We did not have so much trust before we tried it, but it really worked! And we sprayed everywhere he likes to chew. Spray here, spray there! And it's all gone! We must order this again for Mr. Chewy Cadwaladr.
